- [H6] Hallo Freunde, Flugzeugfans und Flight Sim Community Willkommen auf meiner Projektseite Ich habe mir im Sommer 2023 in den Kopf gesetzt, einen A10 Thunderbolt II Flugsimulator selbst zu bauen. Mit diesen Seiten möchte ich den Bau für Nachahmer dokumentieren und FlightSim begeisterte Menschen auf das Projekt aufmerksam machen. Wie es begann... Irgendwann Ende 2022 gab es eine Nachricht in den Medien, das Piloten eines Landes mit einer Schweizer Simulationssoftware das fliegen mit der F16 üben Es hatte mich dann Neugierig gemacht, welche FlightSim Software es aus der Schweiz gibt. Ich bin dann schnell auf die Seiten des Digital Combat Simulator gestossen, denn um diese Software ging es im Medienartikel. Der Hesteller, Eagle Dynamics SA, sitzt in der Westschweiz. Ob die Nachricht mit dem F16 Trainung richtig ist oder nicht, kann ich nicht beurteilen, aber ich hatte die Software und ihre Möglichkeiten gesehen und war angefixt. Ich habe mir dann noch einen HighEnd PC bauen müssen um die Oculus Quest II am PC zu betreiben und bin ab dann eine Weile die A10 mit DCS in der VR geflogen. Am Anfang war es noch sehr schwierig, bis man mal das richtige Setting der VR Grafik hatte. Als es dann funktionierte, war es am Anfang optisch voll cool, aber..... Für mich hat es sich aber immer noch nicht richtig angefühlt. Es ist irgendwie komisch, immer mit der Computermaus das Cockpit bedienen zu müssen. Es ist für mich in der VR keine richtige Simulation wenn ich die Schalter nicht mit der Hand schalten kann. In meinem realen Auto schalte ich die Blinker auch nicht mit einer Computermaus ein und der "echte" Pilot im Jet macht das auch nicht. --> Mir war das zu unrealitisch. Ich habe dann im Herbst 2023 den Entschluss gefasst, ein komplettes Cockpit zu bauen und Umgebung der Simulation mit Laserprojektoren darzustellen. Das Projekt ist sehr komplex, aber dennoch überschaubar. Inspiriert hat mich dazu ein Australier, sein Nickname ist RomeoKilo. Dieser Typ hat das gesamte Cockpit gebaut und teilt sehr viele Informationen auf seiner Seite, in Foren und auf Youtube.
