- [H3] Unser Projekt entdeckt die vergangenen Jahrhunderte Feuerthalens und verbindet sie mit der Gegenwart. Das Leben, die Zeit und damit die Geschichte stehen nie still. Was heute aktuell ist, ist morgen bereits Geschichte, weil es vorbei ist und nicht mehr verändert werden kann. Deshalb ist stoh blibe verbote das Motto für unser Projekt, denn schon unsere Vorfahren sind nicht stehen geblieben.
- [H3] 2018 jährte sich die erste schriftliche Erwähnung mit dem ersten Namen Furtal an dem Rine zum 700. Mal. Damit ist der Name Feuerthalen etwas jünger als die Eidgenossenschaft und wird nur drei Jahre nach der legendären Schlacht am Morgarten zum ersten Mal in einer Urkunde fest gehalten.

- [H3] Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Orten in der Umgebung ist das Dorf Feuerthalen nicht kreisförmig von innen nach aussen gewachsen, sondern strahlenförmig von der Furt bzw. Brücke entlang des Rheines und nach oben zur Kirche. Der Name hat mit Feuer nichts zu tun, sondern leitet sich von der Furt ab, durch welche der Rhein vor dem Bau der ersten Brücke um 1220 zu Fuss und mit Pferdefuhrwerken hüfttief durchwatet werden konnte. Damals war eine klimatische Warmzeit, der Rhein führte weniger Wasser als heute und das Flussbett war breiter.
