- [H3] Die Hausteile Dorfstrasse 21a und Dorfstrasse 21b im Oberdorf gehören zur ältesten erhaltenen Bausubstanz in Rafz. Das ursprüngliche Gebäude stammt aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Es wird 1688 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und dient bis Ende des 19. Jh.s als Weinpresse, Wohnhaus und Gewerbebau. Nr. 21a bezeichnet die östliche, strassenseitige Haushälfte.
- [H3] Erst 1885 wurde die Trotte zum Bauernhaus: im Norden baute man unter dem neuen Quergiebel Scheune, Futtertenn, Kuhstall und Schweinekoben an. Aber schon um 1930 wurde die Landwirtschaft wieder aufgegeben. Seit Mitte der 1960er Jahre verlotterte das Wohnhaus zusehends. 1998 schlugen die Hinterbliebenen des letzten Bewohners die Erbschaft aus. So konnte die Liegenschaft von Frank Beat Keller, Architekt und Ethnologe, 2009-2012 vollständig saniert werden. (Mehr: siehe unten „Rafzer Weibel“ Seite 41-45).
